When architecture is waiting, sound and light appears.
ETN is an electronic mobile device operated by pol villasuso for analogic-acustical capture and digital transmition of the soundfield and the aurality of specific places in real time.
The ETN made its first live transmissions to articulate the sound interventions of the artists participating in Expeditions in Specific Territory Montevideo Rostock.
These transmissions were made through Radio Monteaudio 2021 to a large community of people focused on attentive listening.
The operation consists of a series of electronic devices linked in a chain: aural capture + digital conversion + internet radio transmission + multiple and simultaneous listening on each digital receiver.
With a set-up characterised by an unusual simplicity, it reveals a thunderous complexity,
the complexity that is revealed in the tensions between the original genius locci and the contemporary zeigeist.

to traverse its hidden edges
to constellate – from the experience of deep listening – a series of specific sites that allow to reveal themes specific to complex territorial systems in a global world. p.v.
ETN endorses the idea of Possible Worlds, i.e. the understanding that even though we are here and now, there are simultaneously other here and now that can be connected and in this case listened to. The overlapping of these sound territories forms a continuum of understanding, as it happens in natural phenomena such as climate, temperature, rainfall, etc.
RAUMZEIT
Humans experience place and time as two different givens, partly because of the causality associated with time (an effect cannot occur before its cause).
In classical physics and mostly in technology, space and time are treated as independent quantities.
At speeds on the order of the speed of lightshows, however, that the time and place of an event are mutually dependent.
For example, the temporal distance between two events, as determined by a moving observer, also depends on their spatial distance. With the development of special relativity, it was realized that it was advantageous to consider the two quantities as coordinates in a common four-dimensional space. (wikip)

la ETN es un disposito móvil electronico operado por pol villasuso para captar y radio transmitir digitalmente la auralidad de lugares especificos en tiempo real.
la ETN hizo sus primeras transmisiones en directo para articular las intevenciones sonoras de los artistas participantes en Expediciones en Territorio Especifico Montevideo Rostock.
Dichas transmisiones se realizaron a través de Radio Monteaudio 2021 hacia una gran comunidad de personas enfocadas en la escucha atenta.
la operacion consiste en una serie de dispostivos electronicos enlazados en cadena: captacion aural + conversión digital + radio trasmision por internet + escucha multiple y simultanea en cada receptor digital.
con un seteo caracterizado por una simplicidad inusitada revela un complejidad atronadora,
la complejidad que se va revelando en las tensiones entre genius locci original y zeigeist contemporaneo.
caminar territorios vedados
recorrer sus bordes ocultos
constelar -desde la experiencia de escucha profunda- una serie de sitios específicos que permitan revelar temas propios de sistemas territoriales complejos en un mundo global.
la ETN aprueba la idea de Mundos Posibles, es decir, la comprensión de que aun estando aqui y ahora, existen simultaneamente otros aqui y ahora que pueden estar conectados y en este caso ser escuchados. La superposicion de estos territorios sonoros conforma un continuo de comprension, como sucede en los fenomenos naturales por ejemplo el clima, la temperatura, las lluvias, etc.
ESPACIO-TIEMPO
Los seres humanos experimentan el lugar y el tiempo como dos elementos diferentes, en parte debido a la causalidad asociada al tiempo (un efecto no puede ocurrir antes de su causa).
En la física clásica, y sobre todo en la técnica, el espacio y el tiempo se tratan como magnitudes independientes.
Sin embargo, a velocidades del orden de la velocidad de la luz, el tiempo y el lugar de un acontecimiento son mutuamente dependientes.
Por ejemplo, la distancia temporal entre dos acontecimientos, determinada por un observador en movimiento, depende también de su distancia espacial. Con el desarrollo de la relatividad especial, se comprendió que era ventajoso considerar las dos cantidades como coordenadas en un espacio común de cuatro dimensiones. (wikip)
