EXPEDITION INTO THE CYBORGIAN ANIMALITY OF WARNOW
Florencia Curci, Kerstin Ergenzinger & Christian Espinoza:
This is a collection of polyphonic experiments, findings and tentative results of our joint Expedition Into The Cyborigian Animality Of Warnow. We call the river by its name: Warnow, a river, a being, a mate, a… The cyborg or cyborgism is a political condition.
We approach the physically and virtually industrialized and globalized river-mouth habitat somatically and connect to these surroundings as an organism.
The harbor and the infrastructured wetlands with the bracketing cities Rostock at the start of the mouth, Warnemünde at the end and the propagating settlements and industries in between, form a multifaceted organism, whose bodies, memories and futures, are continuously re-shaped through both local, global and cybernetic processes.

CYBORG OF THE FAMILY OF MANTIDAE
Like their mates the praying mantis, they are lurking huntress-hunters, expanding in camouflage. They can swallow their mates after copulation. Like Kronos the son of Gaia and Uranos devouring his children. Shedding their skins they sediment into the layers of deep time earth.
Since earth time remember these are lurking at the river mouth of the Warnow, reaching out with their antennae into the open sea. During the longest period of its existence, they remember their mouth as a morphing wetland. A breathing, porous skin never flowing into a solid form or shape.
Then a time came when they adopted a prothetic pair of sensing and sending antennae to swallow and release a growing number of ships. The sealing of their epidermis started and they created an apparatus to hollow out their intestines. A new lymphatic terraforming body. In parallel the structure of their stratum corneum, the upper layer of the epidermis, is transforming into fences. With the linear pulse the ships inserted and maintain a gastric tube, the spine along which the electromagnetic body is growing.

OUT OF PHASE EXPERIENCE OF A RETICULAR BODY
Radiophonic Choreographies
Out of phase experience of a reticular body is the title we gave to the second radio choreography we practiced in our encounters with Warnow.
Florencia and Fernando Godoy simultaneously broadcasted on Radio CASo and Radio Tsonami an interpretation of the score that evokes our own transit and coexistence with Warnow. During the transmission, live vocalizations, ambient sounds, sound microperformances and texts with voice overs by Kerstin and Cristian were heard.
During our research, the choreographies were presented as the result of the relationship between a score (or map), spaces, our bodies, time and memory.

Each cycle corresponds to a part of Warnow’s metabolic system.
We perform this score sinusoidally through the old harbor of Rostock, at the meeting points you can hear our voices, a count, a measure, which recedes and transforms into soundscapes of the interior of a beast.
The following audios correspond to the transmission in each of the radios. It is recommended to listen simultaneously on two different devices in order to receive the quadraphonic transmission.

At the end of the choreography Pol Villasuso and Lourdes Silva interviewed Florencia and Fernando for the series Entrevistas Nómades:
Some time before we had performed the first choreography: “Schnatermann expedition”, a somatic approach to our memory of the previous expeditions. The method was as follows: we mapped out our journeys of the previous days on a traversable scale during a one-hour transmission and we traversed the mental bay in search of an intense exchange of experiences among ourselves, in a new space, simultaneously with other voices.
To do this we divided into two groups and transmitted to Radio CASO and Radio Tsonami the two overlapping maps. This was our first somatic-quadraphonic transmission.
The cacophonous result of this experience got us on the road to the next choreography. This time it would be dedicated to Warnow and with regular meeting points. The score shows two waves in opposite phases, which in theory cancel each other out, but in practice, in the encounter with the territory, they enhance each other.
WARNOW CYBORG BODIES
Laser-cut sculptural objects that have been grown out of the intensive drawing-mapping analysis of the infrastructured harbor lands in between the bracketing cities Rostock and Warnemünde.
For now two siblings exist, at the moment one resides in Germany, one in Chile. They are up for further changing shape and place.
