Die Technik revolutioniert die Seefahrt,
Schnelle Schiffe – schnelle Häfen,
Güterströme treten über die Ufer,
Immer größer, schneller und billiger.
Schiff ist nicht gleich Schiff,
Tempo ist Trumpf.
Vom Dieselmotor zum Kernreaktor,
Tiefes Wasser wird knapp.
Der Kapitän und seine Computer,
Schiffe aus dem Baukasten,
Neuheiten über und unter Wasser.
Unkonventionelles auf See,
Unter Wasser geht es schneller.
Aus Zwei mach Eins,
Schiffe auf Flügeln,
Schiffe auf Luftkissen,
Konventionelles ist auch zukünftig gefragt.
Seefahrt im Wandel,
Hochstraßen und Stationen des Weltseeverkehrs,
Der Mensch in der Seefahrt von morgen.
Die Seefahrt der Zukunft,
Fließbandtransport über Ozeane,
Universell und schnell.
Mit Leichtern geht es leichter,
5000 Container in einem Schiff,
Superschiffe verlangen Superhäfen,
Der Laderaum wird abgestellt,
Der Umschlag muss stetig erfolgen,
Die Masse macht´s.
Auch zukünftig wird noch getrampt,
Schiffe ohne Häfen,
Sattelschlepper auf See,
Brücken über die Meere,
Seeluft ist gesund!

Barcos y Envíos del mañana – un poema sobre la globalización de Alemania Oriental
Los barcos conectan los continentes.
La tecnología revolucionó la navegación,
Barcos rápidos – puertos rápidos,
Los flujos de mercancías desbordan las orillas,
Siempre más grande, más rápido y más barato.
Un barco no es solo un barco,
La velocidad es clave.
Del motor diesel al reactor nuclear,
El agua profunda se está volviendo escasa.
El capitán y sus ordenadores,
Se envía desde el kit,
Innovaciones por encima y por debajo del agua.
Poco convencional en el mar,
Es más rápido bajo el agua.
Dos se vuelven uno,
Naves en alas,
Naves sobre cojines de aire,
Las cosas convencionales también tendrán demanda en el futuro.
Marinería en transición,
Carreteras elevadas y estaciones de tráfico marítimo mundial,
Hombre en la navegación del mañana.
La navegación del futuro,
Línea de montaje de transporte a través de los océanos,
Universales y rapidos.
Es más fácil con los más ligeros,
5000 contenedores en un barco,
Las supernaves requieren superpuertos,
La bodega de carga está estacionada,
La rotación debe ser constante,
La multitud lo hace.
El autostop continuará en el futuro,
Barcos sin puertos,
Camión articulado en el mar,
Puentes a través de los mares,
¡El aire del mar es saludable!

Ships connect the continents.
The technology revolutionized seafaring,
Fast ships – fast ports,
Flows of goods overflow their banks,
Always bigger, faster and cheaper.
A ship is not just a ship,
Speed is the key.
From diesel engine to nuclear reactor,
Deep water is becoming scarce.
The captain and his computers,
Ships from the kit,
Innovations above and below water.
Unconventional at sea,
It’s faster under water.
Two become one,
Ships on wings,
Ships on air cushions,
Conventional things will also be in demand in the future.
Seafaring in transition,
Elevated roads and stations of world sea traffic,
Man in tomorrow’s seafaring.
The seafaring of the future,
Assembly line transport across oceans,
Universal and fast.
It’s easier with lighter ones,
5000 containers in one ship,
Superships require Superports,
The cargo hold is parked,
The turnover must be constant,
The crowd does it.
Hitchhiking will continue in the future,
Ships without ports,
Articulated lorry at sea,
Bridges across the seas,
Sea air is healthy!
